At Coventry Swim School, we’re proud to be affiliated with the City of Coventry Swimming Club, creating a clear and exciting pathway for your child to continue their swimming development. This strong connection ensures that our swimmers have the opportunity to progress seamlessly from learning the fundamentals to taking on more advanced challenges.
For swimmers who are almost ready to take the next step, we offer our Little Stars group. This middle group is designed for those who are almost there, giving them the opportunity to perfect the final skills and techniques needed before moving up to the Swimming Club’s first group the Academy Group. It’s the perfect way to ensure your child is fully prepared for the challenges ahead.
Once your child is ready, we highly recommend transitioning to the Swimming’s Club’s first group the Academy Group, where they’ll join a supportive team, enhance their skills, and start competing in team competitions. The Academy Group is designed for swimmers eager to improve, challenge themselves, and build confidence in a competitive environment.

By joining one of their groups, your swimmer will continue to develop their skills, build confidence, and challenge themselves in a supportive, team-oriented environment. If you’re looking for the next challenge for your child, we highly recommend joining our Academy Group. This group allows swimmers to become part of a team, progress their skills further, and start competing in team competitions.
Academy Group Overview
| Age Range | Typically for swimmers aged 6–9 years old |
| Swimming Ability | Swimmers should be able to swim 25m using 2-3 recognised strokes without assistance. |
| Sessions | In these sessions, swimmers will focus on improving their technique and aquatic skills through both technical instruction and fun activities. |
| What’s Covered? | The Academy group offers 3 sessions per week, where swimmers will receive coaching from our professional team. |
For optimal progress, we ask that parents are committed to bringing their child to both sessions. This ensures that they receive the full benefit of the programme and continue to improve.
